50 and Counting

This week marked a milestone for Partners For Water: our 50th water project.Of the boreholes we’ve drilled, 49 continue to operate—day after day—bringing reliable, clean, life-changing water to more than 52,000 people every day. That means families can start their mornings without an hours-long walk to find water, children can spend more time in school, and communities can focus their energy on work, farming, and caring for one another rather than simply finding enough water to get through the day.
When we started in 2018, we weren’t chasing impact or recognition—we just wanted to change a few lives. We said yes to one community, one project, one step of faith at a time. Looking back now, the ripple effect has been far greater than we ever imagined: each completed site strengthens health, dignity, and opportunity for an entire village, and each successful project becomes the starting point for the next.
So far, this work has been completed with a total investment of $230,618.00, a far cry from the $4,500 cost of our first water project. The scale looks different now, but the heart behind it hasn’t changed: careful stewardship, strong local partnerships, and a commitment to build projects that keep working long after the drilling team completes its work. To everyone who has given, shared, volunteered, and encouraged us along the way, thank you. You’re the reason this milestone isn’t just a number. It represents thousands of daily moments of relief and hope, and it’s a reminder that consistent, faithful support can add up to generational change.
As we celebrate project #50, we’re already looking ahead to the communities still waiting for access to safe water. Our next steps are simple: keep listening, keep partnering well, and keep showing up—one village at a time. If you’d like to be part of what comes next, stay connected and help us carry this momentum into projects 51 and beyond.
